Jewelry

Debbie is part Turtle Mountain Chippewa and has been making healing jewelry as gifts for friends and family for years.

Gemstones have been used for thousands of years in every religion, culture, and in history for healing.  They have been used for protection, in rituals, and for healing.  Today native tribes still use Turquoise, Coral, Jet, Abalone Shell, Apache Tears, and Lapis Lazuli for healing.  Gemstones are also used for computers, watches, music, and television.  They send out vibrations that one cannot feel and because the body is mostly water, wearing gemstones will send healing energy throughout the body.  Each stone has different vibration levels.  I know this personally from my own healing from Lapis Lazuli.  I do not claim that this will work for all or heal all ailments I just know it worked for me.

Each piece she designs has been hand-made specifically for its wearer and is one of a kind.  Debbie prays what the wearer may need, considers medical, physical issues, and the date of birth of the wearer.  Then she researches the needs and the stones best for the wearer.  She uses the below book for her reference:

Love Is In The Earth – A Kaleidoscope of Crystals Update

An international best-seller, Love Is In The Earth – A Kaleidoscope of  Crystals Update is known as the “most comprehensive volume addressing the metaphysical properties of the mineral kingdom.”

Turtle Mountain Indians are known for their beading, which Debbie did not know until after she began her beading.

Gemstones come from the earth, the earth was created from God and God is all-powerful so I believe natural alternative medicine is the answer.

Each piece is created when ordered.

Pottery

Debbie’s pottery is made from stoneware or porcelain.

Each pottery piece is original and either thrown on my wheel or hand-built. All are microwave, oven and dishwasher-safe.  All are made with lead-free, food-safe materials.

After the item is leather hard, it is trimmed on the wheel and alterations are added as needed.

Pottery pieces that  contain a design are planned and hand drawn and set aside. The clay is thrown or hand-built to the desired shape, dried until leather hard, trimmed on the wheel and altered as needed. The piece is coated with several coats of clay slip or under glaze, the design is applied and hand-carved sgraffito style leaving the color of the pottery to show through the slip or under glaze.  The pottery is then bisque fired to cone 05 in an electric kiln, cooled for a minimum of 12 hours, glazed, fired a second time at cone 6, and cooled again. The excitement through the whole process of the creation is fabulous and Debbie loves opening the kiln the second time to see the results.

Some of her pieces are carved and glazed or glazed with a variety of glazes.  But all are one of a kind.

Each piece is made with love and created from scratch when you order it.
